We were supposed to be doing great works on the earth here. We were supposed to live heaven on this earth.  But it is no more surprising to see some Christians whose aim is just to go to heaven. They have no prayer point again. They even stop whatever good thing they are doing with the expectation of the coming of Jesus, the Christ.  These set of people are cutting the glory of God short in their lives. They are not fulfilling the mind of the Father. So many of us have limited God to a particular way he once moved. We want him to continue that chain with us. Even though he is communicating something else, we just shut our ears and pretend as if we can't hear. We shouldn't build our tent around a particular encounter. We should know God is not stereotyped. He is dynamic. He is the God of all times. He does things according to the counsel of his will. Stop limiting him. God might have used such for you and he needed you to meet someone else for the next season.  But there is need to always discern who God brings to your life per season. That's when someone who has no slightest understanding of who he is actually and thereby calls himself a filthy rag.  Truth be told, in as much as you are born again, you cannot be compared to a filthy rag. It is just like comparing the living  with the dead. What similarly do they have please?  Without mincing word, you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You remembered how you said you would be serious with God this year. You remembered January 1st right? You remembered all the new year resolution?  Since January, how many chapters of the Bible have you been able to cover? How many books have you been able to read? How many ways have you added value to your life in every way? How many programmes have you been able to make time for? How many people have you helped? It is something quite disheartening seeing someone who needs to announce to people that he is a Christian before people could know him.  I once shared an article here last year of a man whose evidence that he was born again was because he had a very big bible and some religious due receipts.  A mango tree needs not announce to people that it is a mango tree for its fruit will speak in the right season.  Yes! In a like manner, a Christian needs not announce to people that he is a Christian for his fruit will show it in due time.
