NOT WITHOUT A FATHER

NOT WITHOUT A FATHER For those who are so close to me, they will know I rarely mention my Dad. He's alive and healthy.  I grew up not knowing my Dad. I grew up not knowing what fatherly love meant. My Dad is very much alive but we are far from each other. I was around 11 years or so before he came looking for me. First of all, I am grateful to God for giving me my mum. She went through a lot raising me.  So, while I was growing up, I envied those who talked about their dad so much. I wish I could be like them. I wish I could have someone who would be able to show me love. I didn't know fatherly love not until when I met my Spiritual father in Ibadan in 2010. He received me with open arms.  For several years, I lived with hurt and hatred in my heart. I cried bitterly most times when I reminisce about so many things.  A day came when I heard God said to me"For this reason were you separated from your mother's womb, you are not accidental...

LIFE AFTER SCHOOL BY TRAILBLAZER AREGBESOLA BUNMI

LIFE AFTER SCHOOL  BY TRAILBLAZER AREGBESOLA BUNMI Immediately after my university days, I said to myself that I won't ask money from my parents any longer and that I really want to know how I can cope on my own without lading them with my responsibility.  Concerning skills I enrolled in a fashion-designing house both in Ikare and Ibadan. Now, when I got there, I never segregated myself from anyone. In the circumstances that I didn't understand anything, I freely asked from my seniors. I learnt many things. I made some clothes for myself.  Concerning Finance In other to cater for my needs by myself, I started selling Zobo drinks to people. Once the sun begins to rise, I would have my boss excuse me to quickly go sell Zobo drinks.  Before I started selling, I knew it would be an opportunity to meet different calibres of people so I prayed to God that whosoever would taste my Zobo will encounter Christ. I met many people in the process. Some mi...

LET ME SHARE PART OF MY STORY WITH YOU PART 2 BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA

LET ME SHARE PART OF MY STORY WITH YOU PART 2 BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA I remembered how one man told me to see to it that I get admission. One woman called me and asked why I always dance the way I danced then seeing I was really lagging behind. I told her it is the joy of the lord. When I left that spot, I felt like crying even though I was smiling when she talked. Her words were like blow. There was a particular day two results of two schools I sat for came out at the same time. I didn't make it. I got to church and was very unhappy. I had to go out of the church and went to weep bitterly in the uncompleted mission house. A pastor consoled me and I came back to church. Some of my friends then were already in higher institution. When they ask me how far? I tell them nothing yet. Some pitied me while some never bothered. Later in 2013, you can't believe what happened??? I took pre degree form. It surprised everyone who knew me back then in secondary sch...

LET ME SHARE PART OF MY STORY WITH YOU PART 4 BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA

LET ME SHARE PART OF MY STORY WITH YOU PART 4 BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA JAMB examination came and I wrote the exam awaiting my result. It was may 4th 2013,a Saturday morning. It was a day to my birthday. I was told the result has been released. Called mummy and she told me she was going to check my result for me. One hour gone, two hours, no response from her. I called but she was rejecting my calls. I was not comfortable at all. She kept on saying she is yet to check it. Okay! I couldn't brush neither could I take my bathe. I was awaiting my result. Will pre degree school fees waste now? Will I waste my time this time around? After some hours, guess who called? Mummy! She told me to meet her at the front of the school gate.I know my mum so well. I was like if I had passed, she would come proudly to my Villa but this time, she asked me to meet her at the school gate. I was nervous, I quickly went out of the Villa to meet her. Immediately she alighted from the bus...

LET ME SHARE PART OF MY STORY WITH YOU PART 3 BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA

LET ME SHARE PART OF MY STORY WITH YOU PART 3 BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA Earlier in 2011 before and after jamb. Each time I was reading with a friend, she would always tell me she saw herself receiving lectures in lecture theatre. I would be like, you had better read my dear, I pity you. Don't be surprised she was admitted that same year and she studied the same course I came to study later. Today by God's grace, she is back from youth service. I might tell you the difference between us later. Fast forward to 2013 when I took the pre degree form of AAUA.  After the exam, I started attending lectures as a predite. Each time any of my junior sees me, they would be like what level are you ma? I will reply and say pre degree. With great surprise, they would leave the scene. Any of the exams I wrote, each time I got back home and I was asked about the exam, I would tell them how very simple it was but when the result came out. It would either be it remained some ma...

LET ME SHARE WITH YOU PART OF MY STORY PART 1 BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA

LET ME SHARE WITH YOU PART OF MY STORY PART 1 BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA It all started this way. Some years ago, I passed out of secondary school. I wanted to study the course all science students would love to study when you ask them. Smiles. To cut the long story short, it didn't click. I remembered picking AAUA in 2011 as my second choice. I didn't like the school for anything. To spoil everything, it was even close to my home. I scored 45. Mummy told me it has been coming to her heart that I would go to AAUA. I told her to start praying to reverse that. I said God forbid it that I go to such school. Hmmmmmmm! When my dream school then didn't give me admission, I came to AAUA to see if they would still consider me. Alas! Admission was close. What next??? I tried other school within two years but none clicked. It is either I don't have their cut off or they don't even consider me for admission. I was frustrated. I never gave up in serv...
