There is no one whom God has created that he had no purpose for. Even a child whom everyone terms as a bastard is important in God's agenda. Nevertheless, a man can decide to go whichever way he wants to go because man is a free will agent. However, we are encouraged to choose the path of life.

Before Samson was given birth to, a prophecy was hanging on his head that he would deliver his people. We can say Samson was born to deliver his people. I am sure his parents must have made known to him his purpose but he decided to go the other way round. He thought he could live recklessly and still be a Nazarite. He chose to be distracted and he eventually missed it. He died miserably and God sought for a better replacement for him.

Joseph could have decided to go the way of Samson but he chose to be different. He could have slept with the wife of potiphar and his name would not have been heard. He would not have been able to stand as a deliverer for his brethren. This man stood out and refuse to yield to temptation.

In fulfilling God's purpose and calling for your life, you need to keep your eyes on the goal. You must not be given to distraction. When you yield to temptation, it cuts you off from God's purpose and plan for your life.

You and I can decide to stand out in our generation. We can make up our minds like Daniels and his three friends. There is a power at work in us that is greater than the world therefore the need to be fearless. I therefore call the giant in you to rise up today. You are here for an assignment. Do not be distracted. You are not here to be an onlooker.

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. John 15:16

NOT WITHOUT A FATHER For those who are so close to me, they will know I rarely mention my Dad. He's alive and healthy. I grew up not knowing my Dad. I grew up not knowing what fatherly love meant. My Dad is very much alive but we are far from each other. I was around 11 years or so before he came looking for me. First of all, I am grateful to God for giving me my mum. For several years, I lived with hurt and hatred in my heart. I cried bitterly most times when I reminisce about so many things.
