THE RENEWED MIND BY OLUYINKA OMOTOSO

THE RENEWED MIND BY OLUYINKA OMOTOSO

Renewing of mind isn't what you think you can just achieve and later stop. You have to continue in it because it's a lifelong process.

Every thought and imagination that comes through our hearts has nothing to do than to overwhelm, govern, control and create a kind of strong desire in our hearts on which our soul will consistently act upon as we journey through.
The place of soul is a powerful place in a man's heart in such that it quickly attracts any thought, imagination or counsel that comes, whether they are of God or not.

If you're not renewing your mind (Soul) with the Word, then the mind itself, would be renewed with whatever it sees or attracts. In other words, your mind would renew itself with something else if you don't renew it with the Word of God because the soul must feed on something!

There's a misconception about this thing that most people do say, even some of the believers. You'll hear them say that it is impossible to gain total freedom over flesh. That's deception! The more you renew your mind with God's Word, the less you mind the things of the fresh.
The book of 2 Timothy 3:16 established this fact.

2 Timothy 3:16
Every Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God’s will in thought, purpose, and action)...AMP Version.

The reason why some Christians think they're not growing is because they haven't make 'Renewing of Mind' their utmost desire and priority, which is the right and balanced diet for our soul. Just as Kenneth Hagin said "If we are true children of God, born of God, and we haven't grown, it's because we haven't had the right diet."
This is a challenging statement to as many believers who think their status is their spiritual growth.
Your spiritual growth isn't determined by your official post in the church of God, yes! The fact that you're operating in one, two, or three out of the Ministry gifts (Apostle, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers) doesn't determine your spiritual growth as well. It is the spiritual state of your soul that determines your spiritual growth.

Let it be your utmost desire to consistently renew your mind with God's Word. It is God's will for our lives.

NOT WITHOUT A FATHER

NOT WITHOUT A FATHER For those who are so close to me, they will know I rarely mention my Dad. He's alive and healthy.  I grew up not knowing my Dad. I grew up not knowing what fatherly love meant. My Dad is very much alive but we are far from each other. I was around 11 years or so before he came looking for me. First of all, I am grateful to God for giving me my mum. She went through a lot raising me.  So, while I was growing up, I envied those who talked about their dad so much. I wish I could be like them. I wish I could have someone who would be able to show me love. I didn't know fatherly love not until when I met my Spiritual father in Ibadan in 2010. He received me with open arms.  For several years, I lived with hurt and hatred in my heart. I cried bitterly most times when I reminisce about so many things.  A day came when I heard God said to me"For this reason were you separated from your mother's womb, you are not accidental...

THE KID'S LOVE STORY (CHAPTER 1)

PREPARING TO BE A HELP MEET BY DEBI PEARL  THE KID'S LOVE STORY (CHAPTER 1) Moral to the story: God wants, no, He needs us to pray.  CAUTION: Don't pray amiss.  The kid's love story is that of the author herself; Debi Pearl. She had just turned 13 when she first saw her man in a program  and immediately she knew he was the right one for her. Of course the man didn't notice her not until many years later. Why would God bypass a guy of at least 21 years old, and come to a kid of 13 years old telling her he was the one she was going to marry. Sounds weird right?  God does not do anything without a reason. He is the God who knows the end, right from the beginning.  When the young Debi got home, she told her mum, and her mum began to follow her up to always pray for the man of God. The young Debi took it upon herself, praying for the man of God. She wasn't praying to be his wife, neither was she praying for him to notice her. She...

THE PROPHET TYPE OF MAN (CHAPTER 3)

Give your man all the support he needs.  PREPARING TO BE A HELP MEET BY DEBI PEARL THE PROPHET TYPE OF MAN (CHAPTER 3) Moral to the story: Be flexible for your man.  A caution : Your most important job as a prophet's wife is keeping chaste and common sense attitude and conversation (not bad-mouthing folks).  Without it, your marriage will be miserable.  In this chapter, Debi began to talk about the types of men we have. She divided them into the Prophet type, the Priest and the King. The first one we are considering today is the Prophet.  "As a man moves into his late twenties and early thirties his image will become much more pronounced." Debi Pearl  Your ability to know who your man is, what he wants and how to serve him will bring fulfillment and bliss to you.  Give your man all the supports he needs ranging from emotional to spiritual support.  "The prophet or visionary  type of  man are maj...
