When envy is left unchecked, it has the ability to do evil. Teach us oh Lord to be contented with what you have given to us without comparing ourselves with someone else.

An envious man is an angry man. He can never be happy when his counterpart succeeds. Though he pretends to be, his motive is not hidden.

Godliness with contentment is a great gain. Be contented with what you have. Someone else is praying to be like you.

Love does not envy. 1 Corinthians 13:4
