I WISH TO BE LIKE YOU, BUT I DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN THROUGH BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA

I WISH TO BE LIKE YOU, BUT I DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN THROUGH BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA

My friend came visiting and I fell in love with her hairdo. Thank God I was preparing to make my hair the following day. I saw how the hairdo fitted her and I was tempted to also make the same.

On our way to the salon, we saw a woman who wore almost the same hairdo. When she saw us, she told my friend how difficult the hair would be to loose. I was discouraged but I was determined to make the hair. Lol!

Getting to the salon, chai! My eyes were sore red in the process of making the hair. You understand what I mean now?

It was then my friend started narrating her experiences as touching the hair. She was like, she took paracetamol when she first made it. She even had to mop the hair with hot water when she was feeling much pain. She told me how someone said the hairdo looks like that of a old woman.

I was like you didn't tell me all these at first o. I only admired your hair and you encouraged me to even make it by following me to the salon. She started laughing and she said I never cared to ask what she experienced, that I was only concerned about the beauty of the hairdo.

Hmmmmm! So many of us, when we see someone who makes global impact, we wish to become like him. We don't want to know how he came to that point. We just want to start making impacts like him.

That excellent boy you admire in your class and you wish to be like him, do you know how many sleepless nights he has? Do you know the price he has paid to reach that climax?

That man of God you desire in your heart to succeed, so you can also be called Daddy G. O. You are interested in his fame, you don't want to be identified with his sufferings. Do you know how many years he was in obscurity? Do you know the days he had to sleep on an empty stomach?

Please don't just wish to become like someone else. Be diligent in asking about their past and how they were able to make it to the limelight. I am sure he will have story to narrate to you. If you don't ask questions, you may not go far because you will faint on the way. You may think all things come so easy. There is a sacrifice to be made.

You can sure do better than that person you admire if you can avoid the mistakes he made and if you can learn from his past.

Don't be like me who was only concerned about the beauty the hairdo would give me. I  was not patient to ask questions and my friend never bothered to tell me the circumstances surrounding the hairdo.

THE POWER OF IMPURE THOUGHTS BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA

THE POWER OF IMPURE THOUGHTS BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA "When a man constantly feeds on impure substances, he is simply feeding his heart with garbage." Impure thoughts are powerful such that they render you incapacitated in the things of the spirit.  They have a way of captivating your heart and making you see no need for pressing deep into the realities of the spirit.  Those articles you have downloaded and digested can't add any substance of value to you, but would rather take away vital substance from you.  Those disgusting discussions you have engaged yourself in will only impair your vision.  Show me a man who has been feeding his heart with garbage, and I will show you a man who has been held captive by this garbage.  You can't continue to sow impure ideas and expect to reap pure meditation.  A man who engages himself in impure thoughts would only be a stumbling block to his growth.  No wonder you have been entan...

NOT WITHOUT A FATHER

NOT WITHOUT A FATHER For those who are so close to me, they will know I rarely mention my Dad. He's alive and healthy.  I grew up not knowing my Dad. I grew up not knowing what fatherly love meant. My Dad is very much alive but we are far from each other. I was around 11 years or so before he came looking for me. First of all, I am grateful to God for giving me my mum. She went through a lot raising me.  So, while I was growing up, I envied those who talked about their dad so much. I wish I could be like them. I wish I could have someone who would be able to show me love. I didn't know fatherly love not until when I met my Spiritual father in Ibadan in 2010. He received me with open arms.  For several years, I lived with hurt and hatred in my heart. I cried bitterly most times when I reminisce about so many things.  A day came when I heard God said to me"For this reason were you separated from your mother's womb, you are not accidental...

FLEE! BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA

FLEE! BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA Let's start this way!  What is flee? Flee means to run away; to escape. In other words, run for your life.  You think you still need to pray about it when God says flee?  That prayer of yours is foolishness when the word already says flee.  That lady came into your room in the night half naked and you started speaking in tongues. Will tongues chase her out at the moment? What can we call that act of yours, sir?  That man keeps giving you questionable attention, yet you continue to collect gifts from him instead of you to escape for your life.  When you accidentally bump into porn sites and you feel reluctant to leave, what are you supposed to do? Please flee. Don't feed your eyes with evil.  You don't need an audible voice to tell you that you are in danger zone when youthful lust comes knocking at your door.  Flee is the instruction given in the word of God.  D...
