CAN YOU PAY THE PRICE BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA

CAN YOU PAY THE PRICE BY OLUWABUNMI AREGBESOLA

"Until you are ready to pay the sacrifice for greatness, forget it! You will only remain a mediocre."

*Please ask those who have made it to the top if they got there on a platter of gold, or they just found themselves there accidentally.*

*You don't just confess greatness, you act it out. If we just profess greatness with no resultant force, we are only opting for mediocrity*

*A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest, so your poverty will come like a prowler, and your want like an armed man.*

Reflection:
When we see someone who is prosperous in his field, we don't want to ask him the price he paid to get there, we don't want to know the inconveniences he has battled with. All we ever care about is just to be like him.  Our desire will only remain a wish when we substitute sacrifice for pleasure.

√You see Lionel messi as the greatest footballer of our time. You desire to be like him yet you lack these things that have made him best footballer for close to a decade now:
*Balance
*Composure
*Control
*Dribbling
*Generosity
*Passing
*Power
*Speed
*Awareness
*Strength

Can I ask you these questions and please be honest to yourself?
How many hours do you practise?
How many skills have you got?
Your hope will only be dashed in the air by your negligence.

You hear some Gospel artistes sing and you fall in love with their trained voices.
You always desire to be like them, yet you don't have time for rehearsing.
You haven't learnt any skill.
You can eat anything despite knowing that for you to train your voice, you must be disciplined in stuffs you consume.
Do you think they got there on a platter of gold?

You want to become a specialist in your field,
Yet you don't even study.
You take your work lightly.
You are outdated in knowledge.
Without any apology, greatness is far.
It will only remain a wish.

Now to the crucial matter.
You desire to know God intimately.
You want to be like some great men of God.
You want to be a voice in your generation.
You want to touch higher realms.
Yet you are complacent in the place of fellowship.
You are inconsistent and negligent in your walk with God.
You don't give attention to reading spiritual books that could be of help.
You sit and cross your legs waiting for a miracle to catapult you to that height.
You can't pay sacrifice, then forget it.

Until you are ready to pay the price, please forget it!

I communicate strength to your feeble knees this day.

NOT WITHOUT A FATHER

NOT WITHOUT A FATHER For those who are so close to me, they will know I rarely mention my Dad. He's alive and healthy.  I grew up not knowing my Dad. I grew up not knowing what fatherly love meant. My Dad is very much alive but we are far from each other. I was around 11 years or so before he came looking for me. First of all, I am grateful to God for giving me my mum. She went through a lot raising me.  So, while I was growing up, I envied those who talked about their dad so much. I wish I could be like them. I wish I could have someone who would be able to show me love. I didn't know fatherly love not until when I met my Spiritual father in Ibadan in 2010. He received me with open arms.  For several years, I lived with hurt and hatred in my heart. I cried bitterly most times when I reminisce about so many things.  A day came when I heard God said to me"For this reason were you separated from your mother's womb, you are not accidental...

THE KID'S LOVE STORY (CHAPTER 1)

PREPARING TO BE A HELP MEET BY DEBI PEARL  THE KID'S LOVE STORY (CHAPTER 1) Moral to the story: God wants, no, He needs us to pray.  CAUTION: Don't pray amiss.  The kid's love story is that of the author herself; Debi Pearl. She had just turned 13 when she first saw her man in a program  and immediately she knew he was the right one for her. Of course the man didn't notice her not until many years later. Why would God bypass a guy of at least 21 years old, and come to a kid of 13 years old telling her he was the one she was going to marry. Sounds weird right?  God does not do anything without a reason. He is the God who knows the end, right from the beginning.  When the young Debi got home, she told her mum, and her mum began to follow her up to always pray for the man of God. The young Debi took it upon herself, praying for the man of God. She wasn't praying to be his wife, neither was she praying for him to notice her. She...

LET THEM KNOW YOUR STAND BY TRAILBLAZER AREGBESOLA BUNMI

LET THEM KNOW YOUR STAND BY TRAILBLAZER AREGBESOLA BUNMI While I was publicizing my new book (Maximizing your single days and beyond) on the social media, I said I was single. Though I was seeing it from a different point of view due to the information I wanted to pass across about the book, some misquoted me. One of the people I respected so much said, it was better I add my engagement status to save myself from unnecessary distraction.   I saw messages popping in. Messages like, "hello babe", someone even said, "don't worry, even if you have nobody, I will take you in." I was like "I don enter am. " Thank God for wisdom in attending to the issue. Later added my engagement status to the article.  Majority of those who are shy in declaring their engagement status when asked is because they are still looking for a better option. They are not satisfied with what they have. They are in search of someone better.  If what brought ...
